Industry's first AEC-Q100 qualified SIMO PMIC to achieve smallest automotive camera designs

Optimize Size and Efficiency for Automotive Applications

Taiwan, May
20, 2021 --Bravotek Electronics(BVE) introduced a highly integrated PMIC for 12-V motor systems, best fit for compact design such as camera modules and monitor system.
The BV800X series products are qualified with AECQ-100 Grade1 certification. Featuring single-inductor multiple-output(SIMO) technology, BV800X series enable engineers to minimize the PCB size as much as 50% while keeping high efficiency.

Reduce board space by as much as 50%

The BV8002 is the industry's first SIMO PMIC for 12-V system, which integrates 4 high-voltage bucks and 2 LDOs with only 1 inductors. BV8003 has 1 additional HV buck for core voltage and large current; that is, there are totally 7 power-rails integrated in this tiny PMIC.

BV800X series gives system designers the flexibility to adjust output voltages and power on-off sequence by built-in NVM and I2C. As inductors and external resistors eliminated, the PCB area for 6-channel power supply could be minimized to 9.6mm x 6.7mm.

In addition, the Automotive Electronics Council (AEC)-Q100 Grade 1 PMICs are equipped with hiccup function. BV800X will re-power on automatically after entering protected mode, which could be switch on/off optionally to meet user's need.

Success Stories

The BV8002-QW is now available from Bravotek in a 24-pin wettable QFN package, and BV8003-WQ is in 28-pin wettable QFN. BV8002/3-WQ has designed in several automotive applications such as rear view cameras, driver monitors, ADAS cameras, AVM system and so on.
